This home is located in the historic district of Kalamazoo, MI, and required several meetings
with the Kalamazoo Historical Society for approval of the plans for the project. We have
removed an 80 year old garage, and have added an attached garage, expanding the current kitchen and adding a bonus room above the garage. As you can see, Starr Construction is
ready and able to completeany construction or remodeling project!

The original garage was attached to the home with a small breezeway.
The new garage is fully attached, with access from the second floor of the home
into the bonus room above the new garage.
The attached garage allowed us to increase the size of the kitchen for our client.
The new kitchen is an "eat-in" style to compliment the formal dining room.

These renderings and photos are from an addition we completed on a customer's home, this past year. You can follow the process through from initial design to completed project. The computer generated renderings helped our customer to "see" their completed addition long before we even started pouring the foundation.

The homeowner chose a wood ceiling to match the Large, stacked windows on either end of the
wood floor, creating a warm, cozy room to go addition brought the beautiful views from the yard
with their new fireplace. into their home.

The photos, below, show a tri-level home which was fully remodeled, inside and out. The right end of the
home was, originally, an attached garage. The garage door was elimated and replaced with large windows,
and the interior of the garage was converted into a beautiful great room. The added living space creates a
home with obvious curb appeal, not to mention the additional living area!

This customer asked us to replace an old wheelchair ramp which was constructed from treated lumber. We utilized composite decking materials and vinyl hand rails. This created a maintenance free ramp.

We'll even fill in old, unwanted in-ground pools to help increase the size of a backyard!!
